Computing

Computing at Lindridge St Lawrence CE VA Primary School and Nursery

At Lindridge, we believe that Computing provides essential skills for modern life, allowing our children to safely navigate the world wide web and engage in all aspects of computing in a safe and engaging way. As a small rural school, we take pride in making maths accessible and relevant, ensuring our pupils see its value in everyday life while exploring broader computing concepts.

Guided by our school values—hesed, Hamdah, Honesty and Horizons, we encourage children to think critically, ask meaningful questions, and explore the digital world we live in. Our vision, "Discovering life in all its fulness”, shapes our approach to Computing, helping pupils develop confidence, resilience, and the ability to access digital devices safely and responsibly.

Computing at our school is structured using the Purple mash scheme, providing a Consistent and engaging approach to all computing themes and concepts, allowing children to work together or individually to broaden their digital horizons.

By fostering curiosity and a love for learning, we equip our pupils with the knowledge and skills to apply Computing lessons confidently, think logically, and succeed in an ever-changing world.
