Welcome to Robin Class Page
Please login to our class dojo page for your home learning activities.
On here you will be able to access our class story with useful links and messages to signpost learning opportunities.
I will also be setting 4 tasks per day (reading, writing, maths and topic) via the class dojo portfolio app. You can submit responses to these tasks using the following method :
Login as your child
Click on their class name (Mr Pickfords' Robins class)
Click "create new"
From here you can upload photos, video, recording or typed responses!
I will then take a look at these, comment and publish them to your child's portfolio - This will create a wonderful collection of work for them to see when we are all back together again.
Robin class is a mixed Reception/ Year 1 Class of 13.
Our class teacher is called Mr Pickford
Our teaching assistant is Miss Jones who is with us from 8.30 - 3.15 everyday.
Our topic for Spring 2 half term is "Tall tales". During this topic we will look at a wide selection of triaditional tales, create our own and even have a go at some experiments and crafts relating to these.
We are hoping to:
Grow our own bean stalk! - How high will they grow?
Make our own miniature items of clothing from old rags (Just like CInderella!)
And so much more!
Forest schools happens every week on a Monday. The children will be outside all day, so please make sure they are sent in with their waterproofs every Monday. We will be posting updates on our class dojo story page, so please check there for pictures and news from our days in forest schools.
The children will get the chance to build structures, explore nature, cook many different creations and so much more!
IF an empty carrier bag could be sent in with your children on a Monday that would be excellent! This means we can send any muddy clothes home easily.
Forest schools wish list:
If you, or anyone you know, is getting rid of any used wooden furniture, we would love to have this for our forest schools area!
P.E. will take place on a Tuesday and Wednesday. Please ensure your child has a labelled P.E. kit in school with a jumper and jogging bottoms for outdoors (these are also very useful spare clothes to have in school). Girls wearing tights will need extra socks during the winter.
Please provide fresh drinking water for your child daily as we only allow water in the classroom.
This term we are working on improving our learning environment outside and are looking for donations of:
- Large (clean) paint brushes
- Metal spoons and ladles of any size
- Small wood or metal bowls
- Logs that can be used as seats
Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions
